Recently, the Georgia Department of Administrative Services, State Purchasing Division, announced that effective June 1, 2019, a new statewide contract (SWC) for Information Technology Temporary Staffing (#99999-001-SPD0000149-0001) will be available for new IT temporary staffing assignments. The new contract provides a vehicle to purchase temporary IT staffing resources on an hourly and project basis (milestone payments).  The awarded supplier is Computer Aid, Inc. (CAI).
The contract will be a Mandatory contract for state entities.  This contract is also available for use by local government and authorities as a convenience.
This contract replaces the Covendis Technologies agreement, Temporary IT Staffing - VMS (SWC70768), which will expire on May 31, 2019. See this FAQ Document for more details on the impact to current temporary staffing resources.
CAI is setting up a Vendor Management System (VMS) where agencies can submit requests for temporary IT staffing and approve time sheets for the Temporary Staffing Resources (TSRs) providing services under the SWC.  Training on the new VMS will be held via webinar on the following dates/times:

    Tuesday, May 28, 2019 9:00AM – 11:00AM ET and 1:30PM – 3:30PM ET
    Wednesday, May 29, 2019 9:00AM – 11:00AM ET and 1:30PM – 3:30PM ET.

Register at CAI VMS Training.  After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the training.  There is no need to attend multiple sessions as the same information (overview of the program and a training on the VMS) will be presented in each session.
WHAT DO AGENCIES NEED TO DO?  Please share this information with all parties involved in purchasing IT Temporary Services.  Also, ensure that your IT Buyers and applicable IT personnel are provided this important information.
